Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, Pawsitive Life may process:
- Account information such as your name, email address, profile photo, and sign-in identifiers.
- Pet information such as names, breed, age, photos, weight, care notes, vaccinations, treatments, meals, appointments, training progress, and achievements.
- Feedback and support messages you choose to send.
- Questions and pet photos you choose to send to the AI Pet Assistant.
Information generated through app use
The app may process walk routes, precise location while an enabled location feature is active, step and motion information, feature interactions, device information, subscription status, and technical diagnostics needed to operate and improve the app.
Location and photo access require device permission. You can change permissions in device settings. Pawsitive Life does not continuously collect location when a location feature is not in use.
How information is used
Information is used to:
- Provide account, pet profile, wellness, training, walk, grooming, appointment, reward, and community features.
- Synchronize information across supported devices and restore app functionality.
- Provide reminders and user-requested notifications.
- Process purchases, determine Pro entitlement status, and restore purchases.
- Generate an AI Pet Assistant response when you choose to use that feature.
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.
AI Pet Assistant
AI Pet Assistant questions and attached images are sent from the app to an authenticated SmerDev Studio server and then to OpenAI to generate the requested response. The OpenAI API key is stored only on the server and is not included in the app.
Do not submit information you do not want processed for this purpose. The AI Pet Assistant provides general information only. It is not a veterinarian, does not create a veterinary medical record, and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment, medication dosage, or emergency care.
Service providers
Pawsitive Life uses service providers that may process data on our behalf, including:
- Google Firebase for authentication, cloud data, file storage, callable backend functions, app attestation, and related operational services.
- OpenAI for optional AI Pet Assistant responses.
- RevenueCat and Apple or Google for subscription products, purchase status, and entitlement synchronization.
- Apple, Google, and map providers for sign-in, platform services, maps, and location-related features.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.
Storage, security, and retention
We use access controls, encrypted network connections, app attestation, and provider security features intended to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Account and pet information is generally retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the app. Limited records may be retained for security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Service providers may retain information under their own policies and legal obligations.
Your choices
You can update information in the app, change device permissions, manage notifications, manage or cancel subscriptions in your app-store account, and use Restore Purchases. Delete Account in Edit Profile removes your Pawsitive Life cloud profile, pet and activity records, community contributions, uploaded files, and sign-in account after a recent-login check. Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or other providers may retain purchase, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legally required records under their own policies. You may also request access, correction, or deletion assistance by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
Pawsitive Life is intended for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and delete it where required.
Changes
We may update this policy when app features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top identifies the current version.
